There's Rendezvous with Rama, then a related but really not very related trilogy of Rama II, The Garden of Rama and Rama Revealed.

The hero, Rama, lived his whole life by the rules of dharma; in fact, that was why Indian consider him heroic. The trilogy is more of a variation on the theme. Does anyone else here DESPISE the ending of Aurthur C. Clarke's Rama Revealed?
