Is this just downloading Thief Gold from Steam? I am playing through Thief Gold (with TFix) and I see many people everywhere complaining about the Thieves' Guild mission, saying it's "badly designed" and of "noticeable worse quality" than The Dark Project original missions. Playing next.

it uses NewDark, the brand new update of the Dark Engine - this improves compatibility with new pcs significantly, fixes graphic issues, adds support for widescreen resolutions and much more (see the notes, including the final one). I'm looking to start trying to learn how to speedrun Thief- I'd specifically like to run "Gold Any% (NewDark)" I'm just not sure how I can get the correct game. TFix (NewDark) is for those who "just want to play nicely, with as little hassle as possible". Find out how well this game works with Proton and Steam Play. Any help is appreciated. Thief/Dark Project Gold/TFix (German/Deutsch/HD) - Special #1 - Let's Fail Missionen 1-4. -- Movies run, no graphical errors in-game, low-res everything. - Applied TFix 1.16 again. It is far higher in resolution and detail than the original textures however. Installing Thief 2: *The game installation function is only compatible with the original, first-party CD releases of Thief 2. - Copied ALL files from ddfix\ to the game folder. TFix is an all-in-one fix pack for Thief: The Dark Project and Thief Gold (apply & play, no other fixes are necessary). If you own another version such as the one distributed by Mastertronic, install the game using its own installation utility prior to running T2Fix. Thief Gold textures upscaled using AI, more accurate to the original textures than other texture packs, but of less resolution than other alternatives. -- No dice, movies broken again. 7:52. There are some older fan missions that are incompatible with TFIX which I can't presently run due to reliance on it in windows 10. -- Movies stop playing again, but high-res and widescreen.
